Exploring Energy: What Makes Things Go!

 Hello Scientists!

Today, we’re diving into the exciting world of energy — the power that makes everything happen! Energy is all around us and helps things move, light up, and work.

Here are some important ideas about energy:

Energy is the ability to do work or cause changes in matter. Energy has many different forms including: sound, light, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and chemical.

Energy Transfer Energy can be transferred from one system to another. The flow of energy between and within systems is a recurring theme throughout science. Energy can be transferred through force. For example, when a person throws a ball, they apply a force to the ball that increases the energy of the ball. Energy can also be transferred as heat, such as when a pot of water is boiled on a stove.
